A special delivery

On Wednesday my postie delivered a very special package My package from Lilabelle Lane So lovely wrapped A gorgeous charm pack of Calafornia Girl, some lovely DMC threads and the prettiest zipper I have ever seen And some really pretty crochet flowers . . . It has my mind in a spin working out what I could make with this lovely gift, I have a few ideas, but you will have to stay posted to see what I come up with . . . . Christmas in July

I ve signed up for quilt fabric delights Christmas in July online retreat I seen the advertisement in the homespun magazine and it took me all of 48 hours to cave in and sign up. Star of wonder

Finished and on display on my temporary design wall Would you believe we have the rod ready to put up for the design wall, I have purchased a sheet from the opshop and I put buttonholes across the top of it. We have know been to bunnings twice to get the curtain rings, both times we have picked them up and then put them down somewhere in Bunnings . . . . Oh we'll looks like another trip to bunnings tomorrow . . . . Lol "I hope your hands are working on a project that you love" Ciao

My Friday night with friends did nt go as planned. I thought I would spend it stitching away on my machine, working on my star of wonder blocks I did do some work on them I layed them out ready to join Pinned them together, have you used these great double barrelled pins? These are fabulous, I never get folded over seams and everything stays exactly where I want it to be . . . . . I Joined two thirds of one block and am ready to join the next third (Things are a bit slow here in the nest at the moment , too much happening) For the rest of the night I curled up on my lounge with my daughters and we watched a movie and I worked on this A mothers pockets by Cinderberry stitches Another LOOOONG term project . . . . Monday stitching day

I have been wanting to do this post all week, but for one reason or another I have nt been able. . . . So on Monday I decided to have a bit of a sewing day I finished off my top from this Post I am really happy with the top although I think I will make it in the next size down Next time It is really comfortable and I already have some material for the next one and have decided to try some new techniques with the next one. Because of my wonderful weekend in the chookshed I finished my winding ways quilt so I needed to go digging in my PHD (project half done) box (s) and i decided to get back to working on the block of the month that I started in Gulp....2009 I posted about it way back Here So I layed out all the pieces and worked out my colours This block is called Star of Wonder There are four of these blocks each has different colours, In the gaps that you can see are flying geese blocks and with this set I received a flying geese ruler designed by Eleanor Burns Two squares of fabric
