As usual life has been crazy in the egg house hold
lot's of running around
work, school, appointments ect ect
and now Miss S has her L's so we are on the road with her
she is very confident and loves being behind the wheel
last night Gadget took her from our place to Hamilton which is a pretty hair raising drive in just post peak hour traffic and Gadget was pretty happy with her skills.
he is a pretty hard judge so that say alot that after just 5 hrs of driving she is on the roads in Newcastle

she is keen as to drive to her grandmothers so i am thinking Sunday will be the day

this the progress on my Caring with quilts
with the borders

prior to the borders going on
why do i always do on point quilts......those damn bias cuts
but i was smart this time and starched before cutting

okay so here is the decision part

i am making this bag at my Sewing classes at Thorpe and Co
last week i finally got the handles on and it is all but finished

do i finish it

or with
the little pink stripped edge along the top

what do you think?

Caring with Chooky

I now know i am certifiably insane,
i have decided to try and pull together a quilt for

i went out looking for a jelly roll, i did nt find one that appealed so i created my own
lot's of bright happy fabrics

stage one cut out and ready to go

starting to come together

stage one completed

i am enjoying making this quilt, the fabrics are so bright compared with
the reproductions
i have been working with recently

so with a 35 day deadline
full time shift work
and a set of night duty in the middle
i some how need to get
this quilt completed ready to take to

wish me luck

i hope your hands are working on a project that you love

a new book and a plea

I was very fortunate to receive this absolutely gorgeous book for Christmas from Miss M and her partner Just M

it s a different type of book than i usually read,
it's a it of a Mystery,
which i am usually not  very good at reading as
i tend to get frustrated and skip to the last page to find out what happened
but i am determined to be good and just keep reading and let the story unfold
at the moment it has really got me intrigued

it's a lovely old fashioned looking book
i just love this inside cover, maybe because it looks like patchwork fabric

and it even comes with it's own  bookmark
which is just fabulous

sadly however i discovered that some how a page has been torn from the book

as Miss M and just M no longer have the receipt
i am fairly certain that the book shop will not
replace the book
especially since i have starred reading it
. . . . .

so my plea is this if any of you
my lovely friends out in blogland
have this book or know of someone who has it

could you possibly photocopy or scan pages 283 and 284
for me, as i just know that these pages will hold valuable clues to the story

i would really appreciate any help you could give me

Hope your hands are working on a project that you love
